Yeah, the developer may be a big fat whiny manchild who can't seem to avoid breaking his game with each update. But 100 Rogues (Universal iPhone/iPad) is still one of the best Rogue-likes on iOS.
TouchArcade: 4/5 "100 Rogues is as much about exploration as it is about move-by-move action and employing a careful strategy. Game sessions are generally short, but 100 Rogues still saves your game by the move, meaning interruptions are a thing of the past and lengthy game sessions are easily broken down into short bursts. Finally, 100 Rogues is rounded out by a catchy, retro-style, synthesised soundtrack that is of the same calibre as the rest of the game."
AppSpy: 4/5 "100 Rogues is an investment in time-wasting that'll keep you busy for hours and with two more characters on the way you'll be positively spoiled for gameplay. Rogue-like fans should jump at the chance to play 100 Rogues and RPG fans after a truly challenging experience will love the game's hardcore design."
No Dpad: "Buy" "100 Rogues is not a completely traditional roguelike, but takes the best of the roguelike tradition and adapts it for a modern audience playing on a modern device. Though flawed, it now stands as the best roguelike the app store has to offer, and there’s not a single thing about that game that could not be fixed in an update."
