I don't give half a crap about American football. I really enjoy Backbreaker 2: Vengeance HD (iPad). And no, those two statements aren't contradictory. Read on to find out why.
GamesRadar: Favorable "Backbreaker 2: Vengeance is technically a football game, but this isn’t a portable version of Madden. It’s more of an action puzzle game with a football theme. It boils the game down to its essence, creating an experience that’s about nothing more than tackling dudes and scoring touchdowns. And that’s just how we like it."
148Apps: 4.5/5 "At the end of the day though, after all of the glitzy graphics (they really are quite impressive), the great added moves, and the new obstacles to boost the game mechanics, the core of the game really is just about the same… not that that is a bad thing. If you were a fan of the first Backbreaker Football, you’ll absolutely love Backbreaker 2, and if you didn’t like the first one, I’d recommend giving the new one a chance, although the basics are pretty much the same."
AppSpy: 4/5 "What was already a great title has been finessed in to something far more detailed and while it may not take long to plow through the available content, unlockable customizations and a competitive high-score system provides at least a bit of incentive to come back for more. Vengeance may not stay a favorite for long, but it's a rib-crunchingly fun experience while it lasts."
